Fees & Waivers
The Government of Alberta's School Fees Regulation sets out the requirements and limitations related to the fees that a school board may charge parents of students.
Fieldtrip Fees are due when assigned. Please PAY by using your MyCBE PowerSchool Account and check periodically to ensure that all fees are up-to-date. This fee is not waiver eligible.
To create a new account, go to cbe.ab.ca/mycbe. Parents/Guardians will need to use the email on file at their child’s school, as well as their child’s CBE Student ID number and birth date.
My CBE Parent Help line for setting up new accounts: 403-817-6373.
Attendance
For absences or lates, please ensure that you phone the absence line at 403-817-3504, ext. 1. This is our preferred method of notifying us as we cannot check emails at all times.
For extended absences more than 5 days, please also fill out this form – see link: https://www.cbe.ab.ca/FormsManuals/Extended-Absence-Form.pdf#search=Extended%20Absence%20form
With the nicer weather, students are walking or riding their bikes to school. If your child takes the bus, we would ask that you let the office know so that we are not holding up the bus for attendance.
Also, if your child is in daycare or afterschool care, you will need to let them know if your child is absent or has other plans as they also do attendance for their programs. Children Come First is our afterschool care and their phone number is 587-228-4797.
PLEASE NOTE: We would appreciate if you would contact them directly so that daycare is not looking for your child afterschool.
Late Students
This is a friendly reminder that our doors open for all students at 7:45 am and instructional/classroom time starts at 8:00 am. Efforts made to have students at school before 8:00am with enough time to get in their classroom for an 8:00 am start time are greatly appreciated.
Prepared for the Weather
Please ensure that your children are dressed for the weather. Even if it is not raining or snowing, children will need to wear a jacket or raincoat and rain boots as there are a lot of puddles and mud outside. Also, it would be very helpful if children had some extra clothes in their backpack at this time of year as we do not have extra in the school office.
Moving?
We are already in the process of planning for September 2024. If you are planning on moving, please let the office know. Students who are currently attending Kenneth D Taylor School may submit a
Transfer Requestrequesting a transfer to the new designated school, due to an address change.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
