Dear KDT Families:

As we prepare to start on another exciting school year, I am filled with great anticipation and enthusiasm for all that lies ahead. It is with immense pleasure and pride that I welcome each of you back to Kenneth D. Taylor.

This year promises to be filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and new experiences. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing a nurturing and dynamic environment where every student can thrive. Starting next week, you will receive weekly emails from the homeroom teachers highlighting learning activities and events in your child’s classroom. Please check your email on Fridays for these important updates. These will provide important information for each class. 

Let us all approach this year with a spirit of positivity and collaboration. Together, we can create a supportive and enriching school that fosters both academic and personal success.

Labour Day - No School

Attendance

For absences or lates, please ensure that you phone the absence line at 403-817-3504, ext. 1.  This is our preferred method of notifying us as we cannot check emails at all times.

For extended absences more than 5 days, please also fill out this form and email to Sherri Seddon at snseddon@cbe.ab.ca

With the nicer weather, students are walking or riding their bikes to school.  If your child takes the bus, we would ask that you let the office know so that we are not holding up the bus for attendance. 

Also, if your child is in daycare or afterschool care, please let them know if your child is absent or has other plans as they also do attendance for their programs. Children Come First is our afterschool care and their phone number is 587-228-4797.  PLEASE NOTE:  We would appreciate if you would contact them directly so that daycare is not looking for your child afterschool.

If your child requires medication, forms must be filled out before we can give ANY medication.  Kindly fill out the attached forms and bring to the office.
