September brings so many wonderful adventures - none more exciting than starting school! Our students have been so busy making new friends, learning new skills, and getting to know themselves as learners.
Everyday we are learning how to see ourselves as readers, writers, mathematicians, and scientists. We are readers when we listen to stories, explore books, share our thoughts and ideas. We are writers when we practice our letters, draw pictures, and learn letter sounds and familiar words. We are mathematicians when we play games, count, make patterns, and build with legos and blocks. We are scientists as we explore outside, play together, ask questions, and make observations.
We have jumped right into being part of the Kenneth D. Taylor community. We have older buddies and friends that we say hello to in the hallways. We have checked out the playground, spent time in the gym, and explored music with songs and games. We have been to school assemblies and participated in the Terry Fox Run.
We take pride in our school when we follow our school motto - Respect Yourself, Others, and the World. We do this by always doing our best, following the rules, and helping to keep our classrooms clean and tidy.
We are so excited to continue learning and growing throughout our Kindergarten year!
