As we approach the end of the school year and look ahead to summer break, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our students, staff, and parents for their ongoing contributions to the Kenneth D. Taylor School community. It is truly a privilege to be part of such a supportive and caring environment. Reflecting on the past year, I am incredibly impressed by the many meaningful learning experiences our students have had and the growth they have demonstrated.
This year also marks a transition for our students. We wish all of our Grade 3 and 4 students, the very best as they move forward to continue their learning journeys at the new Evanston Heights Middle School. We are excited for the opportunities that await them in this next chapter and, on behalf of all our staff, we wish them continued success and happiness.
We also want to recognize that some of our students will be moving to other schools. To those families, we bid you farewell with a deep sense of pride and gratitude for the time you have been part of our school community.
We have several staff members moving on to new opportunities, and we thank them for their outstanding work with our students. We wish all the best to the following staff members: Emily Wentzell, Caylee Wind, Grace Lee, Nidhi Bhatia, Wendy Cheng, Shelly Hugi, Erin Hancock and Margaret Daley.
Additionally, we would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to our Assistant Principal, Melissa Forsyth, who will be moving on to become a Principal at Catherine Nichols Gunn. Melissa has been an integral part of our leadership team, and her dedication, care, and commitment to our students, staff, and families have made a lasting impact on our school community. While we will miss her greatly, we are incredibly proud of her and wish her every success in her new role.
Thank you to the School Council, whose members have made valuable contributions toward our shared goal of student success. Their passion and commitment have helped provide enriching opportunities for our students. Please accept our deepest gratitude as we thank each and every one of you.
We would also like to acknowledge our teachers and support staff for their unwavering dedication to teaching and learning. Thank you for your enthusiasm, devotion, and commitment to our students throughout the year.
